Our company grew out of a simple conviction with a strong evidence base: that the most powerful learning happens when students are thrown into the complexity of the real world, not insulated from it.

This conviction emerged through direct experience inside the rooms where some of the hardest global challenges were being tackled (climate negotiations; sustainability transitions; and emerging technology governance). It was then converted into effective pedagogy through years of research and educational practice across Harvard, Oxford and University College London.

Our pedagogy came first. Translating it into something massively scalable took longer. When COVID made the physical classroom unavailable overnight, it also made the case for a different kind of technological infrastructure. We needed genuinely global collaboration coupled with real-world challenges and meaningful learning outcomes to bridge geographical and institutional boundaries. Building that infrastructure became the second chapter of our story, and our technology has continued to evolve as our programs and institutional partnerships have expanded globally.
